The iPhone app “Line Memo” is a Memo app to write by hand for each line.
In the “Line Memo”, a File consists of multiple handwritten lines.
“Line Memo” supports portrait and landscape orientations. Below, only screenshots for portrait orientation are shown.
On the Startup screen (File Contents Screen), empty file contents are displayed.
The file name is displayed in the upper center. (Blank if the file name is not set.)
The number in the upper right is the number of lines contained in the file.
For information on how to draw lines, see the separate section “Line Drawing”.
By tapping the + button at the bottom left of the “File Contents Screen”, a Line is added and the “Line Drawing Screen” opens.
Tap the “i” button displayed to the right of the selected Line to open the “Line Drawing Screen”.
Line can be deleted with the “Delete” button displayed by swiping left.
Line can also be deleted from the “Edit” button at the bottom right of the “File Contents Screen”. (Furthermore, you can also delete it by clicking the trash button on the “Line Drawing Screen”.)
Drawing Line is easy, just select the drawing color and drawing line width, and handwrite.
At the top of the “Line Drawing Screen”, a double circle button is displayed in the currently selected drawing color.
To change the drawing color, touch down the double circle button, drag to the desired color in the displayed color list, and touch up.
The bottom of the color list is white. White can be used as an eraser.
On the upper part of the “Line Drawing Screen”, a straight line button is displayed with the currently selected drawing line width.
To change the drawing line width, touch down the straight line button, drag to the desired line width in the displayed line width list, and touch up.
Handwrite in the Drawing Area.
The Drawing Area is below the “Line Drawing Screen”. If you want a large Drawing Area, use iPhone in landscape orientation.
An image of the entire line is displayed above the Drawing Area. The area covered by the semi-transparent cursor corresponds to the Drawing Area.
You can undo drawing only on the last handwritten stroke.
When you tap the rewind button at the center right of the “Line Drawing Screen”, the previous handwritten stroke disappears. Tap the rewind button again to erase the next previous handwritten stroke. You can repeat drawing cancellation until there are no more handwriting strokes.
The Drawing Area can be moved by dragging the cursor (on the entire Line image) horizontally.
You can also move the Drawing Area by tapping on the entire Line image. If the tapped position is to the right of the cursor center, it moves to the right, and if it is to the left of the cursor center, it moves to the left.
The grid is displayed when the Grid switch is on. It will disappear when turned off.
To change the order of the Lines, tap the “Edit” button at the bottom right of the “File Contents Screen”.
Line images (images of one line) and File images (images of all lines in a file) can be shared.
When you tap the share button in the lower center of the “File Contents Screen”, a Line image is displayed on the left and a File image is displayed on the right. Tap the image you want to share to open the sharing screen. (In the case of a file with one Line, the sharing screen opens directly.)
If you tap the file button on the upper left of “File Contents Screen”, it will transition to “File List Screen”. Edit the file on the “File List Screen”.
To edit the file name, select the file and then tap the “Edit Title” button in the lower center.
File names can be duplicated. It can also be blank.
To add a new file, tap the + button at the bottom left of the “File List Screen”. A new file will be created and you will be prompted for a file name.
Files can be deleted with the “Delete” button that appears when you swipe left.
Files can also be deleted from the “Edit” button at the bottom right of the “File List Screen”.
To sort the files, tap the “Edit” button at the bottom right of the “File List Screen”.
There are free and paid versions of the iPhone app “Line Memo”. The app name of the free version is “Handwrite Line Memo”. In the free version, the number of lines is limited and there are also ads displayed, but it is possible to upgrade to the same function as the paid version by in-app purchase.
